The Raid

7 stages full of surprises, toughness and excitement.

This is not “a trip through Morocco.” It is a return to the African adventures of the past: dust in your face, navigation, camaraderie, and that Dakar-like feeling of being far from everything... while still reaching comfortable accommodation every day where you can properly rest.

It is essential to understand that this is not a speed race. Here, the winner is not the one who arrives first, but the one who lives the experience best. It is a challenge of cooperation, camaraderie and personal growth, where the real trophy is the satisfaction of completing the route and helping local communities.

The leap to africa

Day 1 · Saturday, October 31
We begin with the moment that already gives you goosebumps: ferry from Algeciras and crossing the Strait towards Tangier. Customs formalities,

The first stage is a motorway liaison, around 550 km, to get into the rhythm and arrive at a beautiful accommodation by a lake. A quiet night, eyes on the water, and that certainty: “we’re in now.”

Day 2 · Sunday, November 1
First real day of African route. Spectacular tracks through trees, northern forests and, with a bit of luck. We climb above 2,000 metres up to Imilchil, a small Berber village. Tonight’s couscous will stay with you for a long time.

Day 3 · Monday, November 2
The queen stage, with many kilometres of tracks, endless valleys, landscapes of eternal snow and peaks nearing 4,000 metres. It is the perfect day to deliver the solidarity aid along the route. Adventure only truly matters when it leaves something good behind.

Day 4 · Tuesday, November 3
We enter the Anti-Atlas, an area known for being tough, but today it rewards us with tracks in good condition — fast and playful. Villages in the middle of nowhere, mineral horizons, lunar landscapes and, thanks to the recent rains, unexpected green areas. We finish in a riad to recharge properly, just as it deserves.

Day 5 · Wednesday, November 4
Fast tracks and sand. We visit the old Portuguese prison (a setting often used in adverts for its brutal beauty) and continue on to Merzouga. We sleep in fully equipped desert tents with shower and bathroom. Then comes the family meal: each participant brings products from their homeland and we share everything. A long table in the middle of the desert, where by now we are already a tribe.

pure desert

Day 6 · Thursday, November 5
A roadbook stage to reach our destination, with plenty of surprises along the way. There is a safety track in case anything happens, but the idea is to return to those Dakar-spirit stages when GPS did not exist as a crutch. Lunch in a magical place, then on to Erfoud, a well-equipped town with souvenirs, mechanics and pizza 😊 just in case anyone was starting to feel a little homesick.

dakar spirit

Day 7 · Friday, November 6
We begin the journey back with a brand-new stage. A tough start that will demand the very best of the raid: hands, ideas, determination, and that practical solidarity of “if you get through, we all get through.”

Then we continue on to a dreamlike accommodation by Lake Aguelmame, where we celebrate the final party of the trip. Because what we have lived this week... deserves a toast.

teamwork

Day 8 · Saturday, November 7
Road liaison to Nador, then an overnight ferry with cabin to Almería. A much more comfortable return, with your mind full of images and that strange mix of tiredness and happiness. Arrival in Almería on Sunday at 7:00 AM, and from there everyone heads back home.
